Boletim de Avaliação - Atlantic Division - Nets
New Jersey Nets
Saíram Chris Douglas-Roberts, Yi Jianlian, Courtney Lee, Keyon Dooling e Tony Battie e entraram Derrick Favors (nº 3 no draft), Damion James (escolha no draft), Jordan Farmar, Anthony Morrow, Troy Murphy, Travis Outlaw, Johan Petro, Quinton Ross, Sean May e Joe Smith.
Frontcourt

Fantasy Owners Finding Out What to Expect From Miami Heat's Big Three
Through 3 games, here are the averages of the Miami Heat's Big Three:
The Breakdown
As expected, we're seeing a decline in stats across the board. Surprsingly, Wade has been the one providing more of an all around game compared to LeBron James. James was expected to be a nightly triple double threat with his rebounding and playmaking abilities. Thus far, Wade has been able to keep up with James in rebounds and assists while also contributing in the defensive categories. LeBron owners will have to hope his rebounding and assist totals improve as he's not expected to average anywhere near 30 points a game as he had with the Cavaliers.
It also remains to be seen if Bosh will have many big games this season. Through 3 games, the main problem for Bosh has been his inability to establish himself in the post. He is mainly playing on the perimeter and it has been to his detriment because Miami is loaded with shooters and needs more of an inside presence. If Bosh can play more of a back-to-the-basket game in the paint, he will be able to get more scoring opportunities and better position himself in rebounding battles.
- LeBron James: 20.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists
- Dwyane Wade: 23 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2 steals, 1.3 blocks
- Chris Bosh: 11.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1 block

Shelden Williams Off to Surprising Start
With Kenyon Martin injured to start the season, Shelden Williams has started for the Denver Nuggets at power forward and taken advantage of the opportunity. In the early going, Williams is averaging 8 points and 14.5 rebounds.
The Breakdown
Williams hasn't been much of a fantasy factor so far in his career, but he's been a rebounding monster in just 25.5 minutes a game. Teams in need of rebounding help will want to grab him now. He's available in 99% of leagues at this time. With Kenyon Martin's injury history and his comments that he's in no rush to get back on the court, Williams could be in line for regular minutes for the foreseeable future.

Roy Hibbert Starting the Season Strong
Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert is averaging 20.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks in the first 2 games of the regular season.
The Breakdown
Hibbert is playing well and living up to the hype. He's averaging nearly 36 minutes a game and his aggressive offensive play has been rewarded with 16 trips to the charity stripe already in the young season. If Hibbert can continue to manage his foul trouble and play big minutes, he could end up being the most improved player this year.

Josh Powell Getting Playing Time in Hawks Rotation
Atlanta Hawks offseason signing Josh Powell has averaged 21 minutes through his first 2 games.
The Breakdown
Powell has been a back of the bench player in his early NBA career. In Atlanta, he's getting an opportunity to play on a regular basis backing up Josh Smith at power forward. Fantasy owners in deep leagues may want to target Powell if they need help in rebounds or want additional front court depth.

Rockets Sign Erick Dampier
The Houston Rockets have signed Erick Dampier to a one-year contract.
The Breakdown
Dampier joins a front court that is very deep. It is not immediately known where Dampier will exactly fit into the line up. Early speculation is that he'll be used more on night's when Yao Ming is sitting out. We'll have to see him in action for a few games to see what contributions he'll bring to a fantasy squad, but those in deep leagues in desperate need of center help may want to grab him up now. At the very least we can expect Dampier to get decent court time in Houston's back-to-backs.

Boletim de Avaliação - Atlantic Division - Celtics
Boston Celtics
Saíram Tony Allen, Shelden Williams, Brian Scalabrine e Rasheed Wallace (retirou-se) e entraram Avery Bradley (escolha no draft), Luke Arangody (escolha no draft), Delonte West, Shaquille O'Neal, Jermaine O'Neal, Von Wafer e o turco Semih Erden.
Frontcourt

Enjoy.

Janet Jackson Visits 106 & Park
Ms. Jackson stopped thru 106 yesterday. She was there to promote her new Tyler Perry movie, For Colored Girls. Check out a few pics.
I like the short hair on her, I wasn't feeling it at first but I can dig it. Anywho, even after some surgery Janet still looks a lot like her "Penny" days! She looks GOOD! I can't wait to see her in the new movie, it looks like it's a powerful role. She did a SUPERB job in Why Did I Get Married Too so I'm anxious to see her play more demanding roles. I love the part they showed in the trailer when she says "I've got sorry greeting me at the front door, you can keep yours." For Colored Girls hits theaters November 5th. Check MORE DISH for the trailer.
Rookie Gordon Hayward Getting Good Minutes in the Early Going
Utah Jazz rookie Gordon Hayward has averaged 23 minutes in Utah's first 2 games. That is the most of any of the Jazz's reserves.
The Breakdown
Hayward looks to be one of the rookies getting regular playing time right from the start. He fits in very well with the Jazz's style and head coach Jerry Sloan seems to be impressed with him. While Hayward's stats have not been eye-popping, the fact that he is getting good minutes in the rotation is certainly a positive. As the season progresses, Hayward should continue to develop as a player and put up better lines.

Quentin Richardson Emerges As Starter for Magic
After shuffling his line up throughout the preseason, Orlando Magic head coach Stan Van Gundy went with Quentin Richardson in the team's opening game against the Washington Wizards.
The Breakdown
Richardson supplanted last year's starter, Mickael Pietrus. Even though Pietrus played, he is still limited by a wrist injury. That could have been the reason Richardson started, so we'll have to monitor the next few games to see if any line up changes take effect as Mickael's health improves.
If Richardson sticks in the starting line up, he is going to get his share of open looks. The Magic team is loaded with shooters to punish teams that choose to double Dwight Howard. Richardson could be a decent source of threes and rebounds in deep leagues if he continues to play in the range of 25 minutes a night.

Taking good product shots
{photos}
I participated in a little madeit promo /competition for several weeks and I have to say some days it was painful finding GOOD photos!!!!!!!! Bec (founder of madeit) seems to find plenty of nice shots but she might spend a lot more time looking for them, than I had time to.
A good photo goes a long way to selling your product - especially when you are relying on online sales and customers can't touch your items! I have been guilty of taking photos in a hurry just to list an item in my store and I don't claim to be an expert but I try hard to make them as appealing as possible. My light cube has really helped product shots at night and I mostly try to shoot in natural light with no flash. Notice the simple, consistent backgrounds in these photos courtesy of Decor8.
There are lots of helpful tutorials online and you can even make your own light tent. Etsy's has a few great tutorials on their blog re: photographing products. Have a happy weekend! I am having a little holiday with my family next week which includes NO internet connection - a real holiday! So see you in a week :-)
Two Avatar Sequels In The Works
I can't say that I didn't see this one coming. James Cameron is working on new scripts for two follow up movies for the biggest movie ever, Avatar. This movie beat out Titanic in box office sales, reaching over 1.8 BILLION DOLLARS. I never got to see it in the theaters because it was sold out EVERY TIME I tried to go, I eventually gave up LOL. When I finally saw it I understood what all the fuss was about, I absolutely LOVED IT!
Cameron will start working on the projects in the beginning of 2011 and plans to have the first follow up in theaters by 2014. I'm anxious to see how the characters have grown from the first movie. I will MOST DEF get to the theaters for the sequels, LOL. Check here to read more about what to expect.
New Music Video: Rick Kid Shawty Ft. T.I. "Get Yo Girl"
I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO love this song, LOL. Tip is sexy and cool as hell in this video, OMG.
Mariah Carey Is Gonna Be A Mommy!! She CONFIRMS Pregnancy
I'm so happy for Mariah!!! She finally confirmed that she and her hubby Nick are expecting their first baby!! Am I the only one still tripping that Nick Cannon married Mariah freaking Carey, LOL?! Anywho, I'm glad they kept this to themselves for a while. Just because they are public figures doesn't mean they have to tell us all of their business. CONGRATS to them both and I pray that they have a healthy baby!
Alicia Keys On Motherhood... She "Feels A Song Coming On"
Alicia Keys took to her website and blogged about her newest and greatest joy, her son Egypt. Check it out.
Every moment is beautiful; delicious even! Every moment I'm learning and living in a way I never have before. Being present in a way I never have before. Existing in moments I never have before.
Never have I felt so calm, so purposeful in taking the time to truly observe the world around me, to live in it fully and watch it, discuss it, put time toward it. It feels really incredible - so peaceful, so complete and long overdue.
I'm grown, I'm confident, I'm secure, and so blessed to be these things.

I'm most enamored with anatomy at this point. The miracle of the human body. The ability to create all these small amazing machines of veins, capillaries, digestive systems, eyes, ears and noses. I can spend HOURS looking at one little EAR! Have u ever noticed how complex just an ear is? A tiny maze of art. It may sound silly but it's so true. Or a heartbeat? Everyday we wake up and in some way, take for granted the fact that this beautiful pulsating organ in our body is the reason, and yet now that's all I can think of...
And breath; invisible as it may be, how necessary!
Ain't it true that things we really can't see are of the greatest importance?
I've never seen a more beautiful face in my LIFE! The most perfect eyes and beautiful nose, the sweetest lips and skin so soft and kissable!
Never have I felt such disbelief, such awe, humility, godliness, such strength, power and possibility.
I've never believed in greatness and the never ending Higher Power more than now!
And I can't believe he's mine!
Oooh! I feel a song coming on...
This is beautiful... I can't wait to experience the joys of motherhood. I bet I'll be just as amazed at an ear as Alicia, LOL.
Rudy Gay
Idem do anterior.

Warriors Still Employing Uptempo Offense
The Golden State Warriors have a new head coach, but it looked like the team we were used to seeing under Don Nelson. The Warriors put up 132 points in their season opening win against the Rockets.
The Breakdown
There was some concern that new coach Keith Smart would change up the system drastically, but it doesn't appear that's the case.
Also like Nelson, Smart played his starters for most of the game with David Lee, Stephen Curry, and Monta Ellis all playing at least 39 minutes. Dorrell Wright followed closely behind, playing 36 minutes. This does not bode well for the fantasy value of bench players like Reggie Williams, who only saw 17 minutes tonight.

Bobcats Going With Small Line Up
With a lack of talent at the center position, the Charlotte Bobcats played with a small line up for most of their opening game against the Mavericks.
The Breakdown
Nazr Mohammed started, but Tyrus Thomas got big minutes off the bench. Bobcats head coach Larry Brown seems to have very little faith in the rest of the bench and the team's centers, Mohammed and DeSagana Diop. Expect a small line up featuring Thomas at center to be on the court for long stretches and the top 5 players to play huge minutes on a nightly basis.
At this time, it looks like Tyrus Thomas and D.J. Augustin are good pick ups in most leagues. I don't expect spectacular stats from either of them, but 30+ minutes should be produce solid lines on most nights.

Marco Belinelli Starts for Hornets, Plays 35 Minutes
Marco Belinelli opened the season as the New Orleans Hornets' starting shooting guard. He went on to play 35 minutes, scoring 18 points along with 6 rebounds.
The Breakdown
Belinelli had won the starting job in the preseason, but no one expected him to play such huge minutes. Deep leaguers should pick him up off the waiver wire immediately just in case these sort of minutes become the norm.

A Look at Knicks Opening Night Starters
Here are the Knicks opening night starters:
Center: Timofey Mozgov
Power Forward: Amar'e Stoudemire
Small Forward: Danilo Gallinari
Shooting Guard: Landry Fields
Point Guard: Raymond Felton
The Breakdown
The obvious surprises are Mozgov and Fields starting. Mozgov, though, only played 7 minutes due to foul trouble. Ronny Turiaf saw the bulk of the minutes at center. Mozgov has had a lot of problems keeping his fouls under control, but it is certainly a positive to see him in the starting line up. We'll have to monitor the Knicks' next few games to see if he can stay on the court and see what type of numbers he puts up.
Fields, on the other hand, played 30 strong minutes and ended up with 11 points and 4 rebounds. It appears that Fields will have a bigger role than anticipated on the team and will share duties on the wings with Wilson Chandler, who also played nearly 30 minutes. Deep leaguers will want to scoop up Landry at this point.

J.J. Hickson Starts, Plays 30 Minutes
As Byron Scott had been hinting, he has elected to start J.J. Hickson over Antawn Jamison at power forward.
The Breakdown
Hickson played very well in the season opener. If Jamison's uninspired play continues, Hickson may find himself starting and playing big minutes for the entire season. If he is available in your league, I suggest scooping him up.

As Expected, Yao Ming Sits Out Back-to-Back
With the Houston Rockets playing a back-to-back, Yao Ming sat out the game. The Rockets' coaching staff plans to sit Yao for all back-to-backs throughout the season.
The Breakdown
It was interesting to note that Chuck Hayes stepped in to start at center and played 39 minutes. He finished with an impressive 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. Keep in mind that the Rockets were playing the Warriors, so Hayes may have started to match up better with Golden State. We'll have to see if Hayes starts and sees the same number of minutes in the team's next back-to-back. He could be viable spot starter in deep leagues if Hayes continues to start in Yao's absence.
