I am notorious for not liking this trade for many reasons, I understand that, but how does this not worry you? You give up a bunch of solid talent that was going to break out this year or next. Then you give Greinke the chance to be the franchise guy, and he is worried about playing basketball instead of ways to strike out Albert Pujols or scrolling through the line-up to hone the tendencies of others in the NL Central.
Now, Doug Melvin will be forced to plug the rotation and pray it doesn't get his team in an early hole. One of the reasons I didn't like Greinke is because he seemed like he was always the shit in KC when even I could look like the shit in that city. Something rubbed me the wrong way with this guys character, not to mention that he has issues when the spotlight is on him.
Beyond his far from impressive statistics outside of the 2009 season, this is only one more reason why I have to laugh at him and the Brewers fans because mark my word, this won't be his last stint on the DL this season.
