Fantasia Speaks On Attempted Overdose

As I reported last week, Fantasia has been on a promotional tour for her new album that will be released this Tuesday.  She spoke first with the people over at VH1 for an episode of "Behind The Music" which will air tomorrow.  Check out what she had to say about her attempt to end her life.

"I didn’t have any fight in me. I didn’t care about anything. I just wanted out. At that moment, I wanted out. I wanted it to be over with – all of it, all of that [expletive]. I just sat in the closet and looked at the mirror and took all the pills in the bottle. I wanted to go to sleep and just be at peace. I knew exactly what I was doing. You can’t accidentally take a whole bottle of pills.”

Hmm... I totally understand that feeling of just wanting out.  But personally, I just take a nap then wake up and try it again LOL.   Everyone wants to say that this came about because of a man, I think this situation was just the "straw that broke the camel's back."  Check out what she said about her relationship with Antwuan.

“When I met him, he was separated … wasn’t living in his home. He didn’t want to be back with his wife – that is what I was told,” Barrino says. “I remember waking up in the hospital [and thinking], ‘It didn’t work, I’m still here in this hellhole. Still here with all this drama going on."
My nurse Melanie was a blessing into my life because she didn’t tell me what I wanted to hear,” she says. “She told me what I needed to hear. And she looked at me and said, ‘You gotta get up, and you’ve gotta get out of here, ’cause you haven’t fulfilled your destiny.”                          "I realized how people end up in the grave. Because that one moment [snaps her fingers] of just breaking or feeling like I can’t, I can’t go on, it’s too heavy. That was somewhere I don’t ever want to go again.”

One thing about it, we don't know what the hell was going on with their situation.  Antwuan released a statement saying that he and his wife were done prior to him starting a relationship with Fantasia.  I just hope everything works out for her because she's been through so much, she needs a break from all the BS.

Fantasia Set To Promote "Back To Me"

Fantasia's people released a shocking statement concerning the artist.  Fantasia will begin promotion of her upcoming album, Back To Me as early as next week.  Yea, the album drops on the 24th (I'll be coping mine that day), but I would think she would take a little more time to herself after a suicide attempt.  Check the statement from Fanny below.

“I can’t thank my fans enough for their prayers and support during such a challenging time. It has given me the motivation to get back to work and honor the commitments I made to promote ‘Back To Me,’” states Fantasia. “I put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this album and I pray that everyone enjoys it as much as I do.”

I hope she's not stepping back out there too soon.  Next week she'll start her promo tour with Good Morning America (8-24), Lopez Tonight (8-25), Regis & Kelly (9-9), Wendy Williams (9-10), Steve Harvey's Ford Hoodie Awards (8-28) and Tom Joyner's Family Reunion (9-4).  I can't WAIT to see her on Wendy, that ought to be a real good show.  Anywho, TMZ is reporting that Fantasia was indeed spotted with Antwuan Cook but it was done for the cameras filming for her reality show.  We'll get to see what that was all about during the next season of  "Fantasia For Real." I'm anxious to see what that was all about.

New Music: Fantasia "Lucky"

There's a new song from Fantasia Barrino called... "Lucky"!  It's basically talking about a chick that feels "lucky" about the relationship she has with another woman's man. Really, Fanny? Check it out.



As much as I LOVE Fantasia, she is getting a strong azz side eye at the moment. Please tell me what in the HELL is LUCKY about being the mistress, the jump off, the sideline hoe? This is the most retarded azz song, EVER... LIKE EVER!! Did she really put her big azz lips to a mic and let this BS come out? Whewwww child, Fanny, Fanny, FANNY!! I hate it! Something else I'm confused about is the fact that since the suicide attempt, Fanny has been seen out with Mr. Cook like she didn't try to send herself to the upper room because of their situation. Many are actually questioning rather or not the suicide attempt was real or if it was a publicity stunt to get everyone to tune in to the second season of her reality show. I don't know, but I sure hope she didn't go that far for ratings. At this point, I don't know what else to say. What the hell is she thinking, hell, is she even thinking at all? I'm done, we'll see how this all plays out.

Side Note: the song is tight, but it's stupid as hell LMAO! I like the "a hard man is good to find" LOL.

Was Fantasia Set Up?

Yesterday news broke that singer, Fantasia Barrino was hospitalized due to an overdose from a combination of sleeping pills and aspirin.  Her manager confirmed that this was not an accidental situation, but indeed an attempt to end her life.  They found Fantasia in a closet inside of her home in North Carolina.  As I've mentioned here before, my family loves some Fantasia!  We voted like crazy for her when she was a contestant on American Idol.  With that said, we've been talking amongst ourselves about what could have caused all of this.  My daddy mentioned something that isn't very far fetched.  Has anybody just for once thought about the fact that the Cook family saw Fantasia and the laws of North Carolina as an easy target to get paid?!

Carolina is one of only SEVEN states that have the "Alienation of Affection" law.  We all heard about the woman in Carolina winning the 9 million dollar law suit filed against her husbands mistress, I'm sure the Cook's heard about this as well.  Fantasia's manager has spoken out and stated that his client was mislead by Mr. Cook and believed that he was separated from his wife (Paula) at the time of their relationship.  Fantasia was under the impression that although Antwuan was still married, he and Paula were not happy and he was working on getting out of the marriage.

Now, don't get it twisted... I'm not saying that Fantasia isn't to blame for any of this.  When you date a married man (separated or not), you are potentially opening your front door to drama.  However, I am fully aware of how manipulative a man can be and I'm almost POSITIVE that he did indeed lie to her in order to gain her trust and affection.  The fact that he was so willing to be seen in public with her (as in the picture above) probably led her to believe that Antwuan and his wife were in fact separated, as he probably told her time and time again.  Then this alleged sex tape that the wife claims to have!!! I'm sorry but I'm just not willing to believe that Fanny was dumb enough to make a sex tape with a man that she knew was happily married and still with his wife, then allowed the wife to get access to it.  Yea, yea, yea... I know she was dumb enough to tattoo a married man's name on her but the sex tape thing is just taking it too far, LOL. Call me crazy, but I'm just not buying it. Sounds to me like Mr. and Mrs. Cook may have gotten sick of those lil azz T-Mobile checks and came up with what they thought would be a "get rich quick" scheme.  Honestly, if this is what they did, it's pretty damn brilliant if you ask me (evil, yet brilliant).  Whatever the situation was, it's nothing that should have caused her to want to take her own life.  The fact that she was about to leave her child here without a mother is beyond sad and proves that she feels horrible about what has happened!  If it turns out that this is what the Cook's had planned all along, they need their azzes whooped, REAL GOOD!! Fantasia is doing fine now, but I'm sure she is still under a lot of pressure and completely embarrassed about all of this (hide the pills please).  Let's all keep her in our prayers and I hope that this helps people realize that the old "sticks and stones" saying isn't always true.  We should really watch what we say and what we put into the universe.  We can make judgments all day, but I always try to keep in mind that good people can sometimes find themselves in bad situations.  Keep your head up Tasia, we love you!!

Fantasia Barrino Has A SEX TAPE? Say It Ain't So, SMH!!

WOW, the sh-t might REALLY hit the fan for Fanny this time.  Some time last year we all heard the news that Fantasia was supposedly involved with a man that she met at a T-Mobile store.  The only problem wit that is that Antwuan Cook (the T-mobile guy) was married at the time of their alleged affair.  Fantasia denied that she was seeing Antwuan, yet she was seen sporting a new tattoo of the name "Cook" *side eye*.

Anywho, Antwuany's wife has recently filed papers against her ex-husband seeking child support, alimony and other financial support.  She claims that Fantasia and Antwuan began their affair in August of 2009 and that she has tapes of the two engaged in sexual activity.  Well cut my legs off and call me Shawty!!! If she really has tapes of these two this could be a really bad look for Fantasia, SMH.  You can check out CNN for more info on the case.
