Most Added: January 18-24
- Ryan Anderson (9.9 points, 1.8 three-pointers, 4.7 rebounds): As we mentioned recently, Anderson has been hot over the last couple of weeks and fantasy owners have taken notice in a big way. He's gone from being owned in just a few leagues to now being claimed in over half. If he's still available in your league, scoop him up. Because of the lack of big men on the Magic's roster, Anderson should have a major role in the rotation for the foreseeable future.
- Grant Hill (14.7 points, 5 rebounds, 50.3% FG%, 84% FT%): Hill was widely dropped a couple of weeks ago when he suffered a minor injury. Those who dropped him are probably regretting it as Grant returned with three straight games of 20+ points, including a double-double. Hill has been a fixture in our player ratings all season and deserves to be owned in all formats. He's still unowned in about 10% of leagues.
- Corey Maggette (11.9 points, 82.6% FT%): Maggette's been up and down all season, but he's playing well right now and he's been reinserted into the starting line up. Our only concern is that Carlos Delfino recently came back from an injury and Maggette's minutes could be affected once Delfino gets into game shape. For now, Maggette is worth putting on your roster, particularly if you need help with your free throw percentage. Those who do pick him up will have to watch the Maggette-Delfino situation over the next couple of weeks. Maggette is still available in about a third of leagues.
- Greg Monroe (6.4 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal): Like Anderson, Monroe is a player that had been hot of late. The rookie's great play, though, may come to an end soon with the recent return of Ben Wallace. After playing over 30 minutes a game while Wallace was out, Monroe played just 23 minutes in Wallace's first game back. Although we like Monroe to be an impact player over the second half of the season, his minutes and production should be monitored in the short term.
- Lou Williams (13.3 points, 3.4 assists, 81.4% FT%): Williams is on a scoring streak, putting up double digits in 11 of his last 12 games. In that stretch, he's also contributed a decent number of assists and rebounds. Williams is worth a speculative addition in all formats for squads that need scoring, assists, or a good free throw shooter. He's unowned in about 40% of leagues.
