Philadelphia Eagles Players Surprise Bullying Victim, Nadin Khoury On The View

Thirteeen year old Nadin Khoury appeared on "The View" to talk about his attack by school bullies.  While there, he was surprised by a few players on his favorite football team, the Philadelphis Eagles.  Check it out!

Awwww, I almost started crying with him.  To see how those children treated him made me sick.  I'm a firm believer that children do things like this because they do not fear what will happen to them when they get home.  As a youngster, there were several things that I THOUGHT about doing... but didn't do because I was afraid of what my parents would do to me when they found out.  If any child of mine EVER behaved like this, they'd have hell to pay behind it.  This situation could have gone totally different.  Instead of having his attackers arrested, Nadine could have reacted to their actions with violence.  I'm glad that wasn't the case.
On another note:  Who is this Desean Jackson cat?  I think I love him, LOL.  Seriously tho, I loved his interaction with Nadin.  I know that made him feel amazing.  I've always liked the Eagles, but now that I see they have such good guys on their team.. I'll call myself a fan :).

Catching a Break When The Packers Needed it the Most

I couldn't stand the last two minutes.  I kept seeing all of the snakebites that kept happening to the Packers this season, and thinking it would be fitting if this is how it ended.  I kept calling the Pack the team of 'snakebites and what if's' so nothing really would have shocked me.  Then Michael Vick went deep to Riley Cooper for the win for reasons we still will never know and Tramon Williams picked it off to seal the victory. I became so giddy, and came to realization we finally caught a break.

In professional sports, there will always be luck whether you believe it or not.  The two missed field goals by the ultra-reliable David Akers were unreal.  As my dad and I watched Akers attempt the 34 yarder, both of us said this is a complete chip shot and he absolutely shanked it. I had the feeling that this was our day. Another near heartbreak was with DeSean Jackson catching a wide open pass late in the game before Desmond Bishop tripped him at the 40 yard line. Once again, one of the the heroes the game were not in the game plan at the beginning of the year.

Kudos to SI for this great picture.
With my nerves at a high rate, I loved to see Bishop come off the edge on that first play. We were like Apollo Creed delivering the first punch to Rocky, which leads me to a quick tangent. I love Rocky, but seriously that's your city's hero?  Rocky might be the only star athlete that didnt't get booed in Philadelphia. The Packers came into this game like gang busters, and continued to play a chip on their shoulder. It might not have looked as powerful as the New York or Chicago performance by their defense, but it truly was. I wonder if Winston Justice will have nightmares about Clay Matthews for the next week after the Claymaker clearly became in his head.  Tyson Clabo, you're next.

People know that you cannot pass against the Packers.  They have Charles Woodson who will be a Hall of Famer when he is done and may be most versatile defensive player in the NFL. His partner in crime, Tramon Williams is the best player that no one knows about and it still puzzles me why Vick decided to throw his way on the final play.  The Eagles consistently relied on Jason Avant who was a safety vavle for the entire game because they couldn't use Maclin or Jackson due to the blanket coverage by the secondary.

Now, this chip on our shoulder defense heads into Atlanta.  People say you can run against this Packer defense and the Falcons do have the powerful one-two combo of Michael Turner and Jacob Snelling.   Turner was the last guy to gain over 100 yards against the Packers.  B.J. Raji said in the Journal today, they tackled terribly in that game and I bet the house they will not repeat that performance. They need to keep containment and the Packers will be just fine which could silence the haters for another time.

This is the fourth week of the playoffs for the Green Bay Packers, and I believe they might be peaking at the right time. I remember the late 90s and how excited a young Charles was about the playoffs but right now, I never been filled with this much excitement.  This will seem like the longest week ever with Saturday night, not coming soon enough.

This Has to be a Joke

Evidently the Eagles are going to wear these uniforms...in a real game...next season. When the Eagles play the Lions on Sept. 23 they will pay tribute to their original color scheme from 1933. To be honest my first reaction is that those are some pretty sweet colors for the 30's, but the more important thing is that these uniforms bear zero resemblance to the Eagles current uniforms whatsoever. I mean, they look like the step children of UCLA Football and Sweden's soccer team. Just plain strange. Now, if there was a team that would look cool in a throwback that looks nothing like their current duds...try the Rams. They wore red and black uniforms for just one season, in 1937. Now that would look cool. Sweden does not look cool.
