Minnesota Timberwolves forward Michael Beasley has strung together three consecutive games of 25+ points after scoring 20+ only once in the first eight games of the season.
The Breakdown
Beasley is starting to look like the scoring machine we expected coming out of Kansas State. We still worry about his consistency going forward, but those fears are easing as it appears he's beginning to embrace his role as the team's go-to scorer. Hopefully nothing changes when Jonny Flynn returns in the next few games.
Although Beasley is scoring the ball well, he's giving us very little in other categories. He's averaging just 5.2 rebounds, mainly because Kevin Love is swallowing up every loose ball. Category leagues will want to make sure they have good production in rebounds from other players because it appears unlikely Beasley's rebounding numbers improve this year.
