Best Dressed at the Oscars!

I watched the Oscars with James last night and I have to say that they were quite the snorefest compared to the Grammy's... Much less excitement aka. Lady Gaga arriving in an EGG... and although I did enjoy Anne Hathaway's numerous costume changes, James Franco and Anne Hathaway were awkward at times and not that funny. There are so many hilarious comedians out there who could have killed it... Tina Fey? Jimmy Fallon? ANYONE FUNNY and ENTERTAINING?! Whatever happened to the golden years of Billy Crystal or Steve Martin? Either way... I DO love the fashion! Here are some of my favorites:
PERFECTION! I absolutely adored Gwenyth's sleek silver Calvin Klein number with straight locks and the funky broach on her left. I also appreciated her candid answer on the red carpet claiming she hasn't slept for a week leading up to the Academy Awards. Too many stars try to play it "too cool" sometimes and she brought humility to the show last night.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! My favorite look of the night. I LOVE her high pony tail, emerald jewels and classy choice of dress. Perfection!!! I am so doing my hair like this... If I can figure out how ;)
Do they have one in Andies size!!?! Feathers are so in right now... Leave it to Hilary Swank to rock it with those toned shoulders. Love how the dress fades into grey/black at the bottom.
Love this soft confection... Blush looks great on Halle and I love the taffeta bottom and ruffly top.
Va Va VOOM! How amazing does Jennifer Hudson look?! I love this bright color on her but her slightly lighter boobs do kind of stand out in this dress... Can't really say anything about it though.. LOVE her hair and accessories too!
I'm so torn on this dress... I love Amy Adams, sparkly things, this is my favorite color blue and her hair looks great. Maybe it is the emerald jewelry throwing me off? I would have just done chunky diamonds I think...
*YAWN* ... I just find this so BORING... Boring color, conservation shape, hair, jewelry etc... Meh!
I loved ALL of Anne's dresses during the ceremony... Most of them were by Valentino like this one. Super hot!
Classy... But kinda boring too. I would have put a ice encrusted necklace with it.
The back is definitely my favorite part of this dress... The mulberry color doesn't do the Oscars justice. Had it been bright red or blue I think it would have been a real hit.
I just adore Natalie Portman... She looks like a pregnant Goddess and I thought her acceptance speech for best actress was so heartfelt. You go girl!
Mila Kunis can do no wrong in my eyes. This lavender dress is super unique, sexy and elegant at the same time. I love the way the fabric is draped and the bra-like detail. She looks great in this color and I thought she rocked it.
Eek.... Nicole Kidman looks like a folded napkin. Who wants to ADD volume to their hips? I do love the a-mazing Henry Winston choker and pop of color in the shoes though.
New comer Jennifer Lawrence played it safe and rocked it... Super sexy and classy.
Hailee Steinfeld from "True Grit" designed this beautiful, age appropriate gown and I think she did great! I love the sheer bodice and beading. So girly and cute!
LOVE THIS DRESS! It's a work of art by Givenchy... So unique!

Best & Weirdest at the Grammy's!Oh

I actually watched an entire award show for once in my life with my family this Sunday and loved watching the Red Carpet and the unique performances by the likes of Lady Gaga (my favorite), Katy Perry and Rihanna. The women are just killing the music scene right now- so awesome to see. Here were my favorite gowns.
Va Va VOOM! Kim Kardashian looks like a golden goddess in this number that had to be completely reworked to fit in her derriere- it didn't even come close to fitting.. HA! Love her locks and simple cuff bracelet.
Metallic shine was all the rage on the red carpet. Look at this mirrored Gucci dress on Jennifer Lopez. Super short but the long sleeves balance it out. LOVE THE HEELS!
Rihanna's barely there ruffle dress made quite an impression. how can you not have a wardrobe malfunction in this? I really do love her risk taking in fashion though- it is so interesting to watch and she is such a beauty.
Here's Justin Bieber's squeeze Selena Gomez looking very grown up in this champagne shiner.
Oh my... Here is Ciara in a slit-up-to-"there" gown that leaves little to the imagination. She DOES have a banging body but mystery is sometimes just as sexy as showing this much skin...
WTF ?!?!?! Here is Nicki Minaj trying to be unique again... I'm not a fan of this leopard disaster and skunk hair. It's almost like she's trying to be Lady Gaga... This outfit and her in general frighten me.
I'm a HUGE fam of Lea Michele's fashion sense. She has such a petite body and transforms into so many different looks. Here is how to really rock a high slit and still look classy doing it. Love her red lips.
ow OW! Beyonce is sure sexy in this short pantsuit.. Love the necklace and her blonde locks.
I'm a HUGE fan of Florence and the Machine and this dress suits Florence Welch perfectly. Whimsical and unique... LOVE IT!
I seem to be less and less of a fan of Christina Aguilera's style and all around look. I heard someone on the radio mention she is starting to look like Cindy Lauper and I have to agree. She looks really hippy in a lot f the gowns she chooses and has been criticized for not spending very much time with her young son, Max.
Here's Lady Gaga arriving in an egg to the Grammy's... I love her unique style and quirky appearances. They are so interesting and artistic. She could so easily be another cardboard Britney but she takes it above and beyond and is one of the hardest working celebs in the biz.
Wow. How hot does Jennifer Hudson look?! AMAZING!
Speaking of amazing look how great Kelly Osbourne looks! Love this feminine color, unique cut and sparkly shoes on her... One of my favorite looks of the night!
Sometimes I find Nicole Kidman's style conservative and boringgg but I LOVED this gown and the colors!! I think she looks stunning
Katy Perry walked the red carpet with her 90 year old grandmother and husband Russell Brand in this angel costume. Katy really dresses whimsical in fun, daring outfits that are interesting and unique but sometimes I think they are a bit juvenile.. Always look forward to seeing her on the red carpet though!
I LOVEEEE  this dress on Heidi Klum. What a golden goddess. She has such a rocking bod for the number of kids she has pumped out.. HA! Love the heels as well!
EEK.. Hot pink and bright orange?! Definitely not my favorite.. But you know I AM a sucker for tutu's! Teehehe.. This is Hayley Williams from Paramore who is famous for her outlandish brightly colored hair.. Last year I liked her bright orange hair and black sequined dress.. This was a bit hard on the eyes..

Best Dressed at the SAG Awards

I love award season for all of the fashion and ball gowns... There is a dress shop near my office and as I pass by I fantasize about attending a gala where I would actually need a gown.  The SAG awards or Screen Actors Guild Awards were on Sunday and here are my top picks for best dressed :)
Here's Lea Michele from Glee. She normally goes for the dramatic elegance but I love the plunging neckline on her to give the dress a bit more sass.
OoOoh La La! Sofia Vergara from Modern Family also embraces the plunging neckline on her famously curvy body. She looks so feminine and sexy!
Funny woman Tina Fey looks ultra feminine and glam in this red number with hand cut silk flowers.
This is a very different look for Amy Adams as she normally goes very elegant and fem but I love this contemporary dress that really shows off her fit figure. Pony tails were one of the trends at the SAG awards.
January Jones has gotten some flak for this dress which I think is ridiculous... At the Golden Globes she went very risque with her look and I like how she mixed it up with a more conservative, classy gown that still really flaunts her figure. Short sleeves are really in as well and I love her waived retro hair-do.
Mila Kunis displays one of the big trends right now: pattern. I love the dramatic colors and wavy locks. This dress to me screams "Black Swan".. Great movie I really recommend it!
Natalie Portman is ROCKING the prego stylez... I think she looks like a Greek goddess here.
I love this color of navy and white together. Gorgeous!
Blush is a huge trend right now. I like the cut of this dress but I do find this color tends to wash people a bit... Hilary has a hot bod to show this off though!
Continuing on the blush trend... This one is a bit sexier though. I bet it just floats when she walks. This is Heather Morris from Glee.
I love this gown... But Angie Harmon hasn't gotten the best reviews on it. I love that its super girly and feathery and PINK! I would like to wear one tooooo

Not my favorites:
I'm not a fan of this gown on Kim Kardashian. I think the color looks great but in general I think it makes her look a bit wider in the hips and it looks like it needs another strap.
Christina Hendricks is famous for her role and Mad Men and her enormous chest... To me this dress just looks like a glorified bath robe that adds bulk... What do you think?!
This dress is a bit conservative for my taste. With her body she could really bust out an eye-catching number
Eva Longoria looks much better in a fitted gown that hugs her curves- this dress is a bit big in the bust for her.

Golden Globes best and worst!

Here are my favorite gowns from last night....
Those are some fierce shoes!!! Here is Olivia Wilde in a chocolate brown ball gown sparkler that this girl can't help but love. It reminds me of stars or something. Not sure if I agree with the shoe choice with THIS dress but she looks stunning.
Pastel pink and emerald green ruled the red carpet last night. I love this soft look on Scarlett Johansson
So sexy Ann Hathaway! I looove low back dresses. Long sleeves also was a common sight last night
This is my favorite gown. In the lights on stage is sparkled SO much and I love the wrapped ribbon look Megan Fox is rocking. I love the overlapping bodice. GORGEOUS!
January Jones is known for her unique sense of style and she smolders in this Versace runway piece that she asked them to make her in red. Let's hope all those tassels stayed in place! Or not!
Lea Michele from Glee looked so feminine in this Oscar De La Renta gown. I like the one sleeve and turquoise  ring she paired with the gown.
Christina Hendricks from Mad Men is known for her extremely large chest and I thought she did a classy job of downplaying it on this red carpet. I think she looks extremely sexy and classy at the same time.
Take that Tony Parker! VA VA VOOM! Her back also had a sexy cutout. Super hot!
This is Julie Bowen... Who I am sure is someone famous but I don't know where she is from or what she did.. I really like the dress though. I love the unique color and organza flowers.
HOT MAMA! I'm not normally a fan of pink and red together but with the red accessories and shiny rose Natalie Portman looks absolutely STUNNING!
Natalie's co-star in Black Swan, Mila Kunis also looks ravishing in emerald. I think Mila is gorgeous.
Here are my least favorite ensembles:
Here's Hayden Panettiere's after party look and the pasties are pretty obvio :S
I've never been a fan of the short-in-front-long-in-back look but with this pattern and her dyed locks I just think Khloe Kardashian looks cheap at the after party.
Emma Stone took the popular "minimalist" approach with this peach Calvin Klein number but to me it is too plain for an awards show and is a bit too boring for me.. Kind of looks like a t-shirt dress with a train...
I just think Heidi Klum could have done better.. I don't agree with the colors for this season and although the neck is funky it's not my fav.
EEK! I hate the mismatched Christmas colored shoes and the entire ensemble on Helena Bonham Carter
