Friday Favourite - Palette Reading Bed

Photographer Ashley Ann has built the most enviable piece of re-purposed furniture I have ever seen! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! I have been walking around our new suburb eyeing off all the pallet's and wondering what I could do with them, then I saw this post! Now to get my hands on a pallet.... and isn't the cluster of pom poms and lanterns gorgeous.

Photo used with permission.

A few cool reads for over the weekend:
  • A special oil recipe for your wooden chopping boards/bowls etc..

Friday Favourites - Online magazines

Do you ever feel you can't keep up with all the gorgeous creative there is online? I do - it makes my head hurt sometimes, then I casually remind myself I don't have to 'keep up' - just enjoy it when I can. I am almost using Pinterest to replace my Delicious bookmarks to remember all these lovely blogs etc. Check out the brand new magazine from A Subtle Revelry called Styled. My pal Jordan has a project in it! Sweet Treats bags - very cute.

Then through Victoria's blog I found VECU Magazine - gorgeous!

Anyway, enjoy the visual feast and have a great weekend.

Friday Favourites - Artist Luci Everett

What a brilliant piece of work by artist, Luci Everett! A handmade French folded book exploring the theme of Party! Love it. I dove right down the rabbit hole to find this one... hopping from one blog roll to another - then I jumped right on over to Luci's website and was there a while! OK, enough rabbit analogies. All images - Luci Everett.

I loved these and I love the start of the weekend! wooo hooo

Friday Favourites - Snug Attack

Very cool clothing by TwelveZeroSeven for your little ones - especially if you have twins!! These are from their Snug Attack line available in t-shirts or onesies!

Oh so cool :-) They also have shirts that say BOY or GIRL. I needed one of those when Anya was little. Seeing she has only just grown hair at 3yrs old you can imagine why! Have a great weekend.

Friday Favourites - Gold Vintage Handbags

I found these gorgeous vintage bags at Bowerbird Vintage. So pretty!

I have my Grandmothers Oroton crystal clutch similar to the pic above and I take it to all the weddings I attend. I do have a cute gold one she has given me also but I tend to favour the bling bag :-) I will take a photo of it one day and show you. Have a great weekend!

Friday Favourites - Upon a fold

I found this stunning shop - Upon A Fold - yesterday when looking for where I could buy Washi tape online and I can't stop looking at their beautiful products!!

Envelope Maker Set - love these and have always wanted one - so reasonably priced.

If you have seen these in the Donna Hay magazine and wondered where to source them? Look no further.

No tape or glue required for this one! cute.

Can you believe this bike is made from paper??!!!

Is it just me or is the calendar bursting with events?! My daughters social life is already starting to fill half of my Saturdays from here till Christmas!!!! She is only 3 yrs old. We have a few things to attend and I am hoping to get to the shop and have a poke around. I hope you have a fabulous weekend whatever you do.

Friday Favourites - Notemaker

Notemaker is an Australian company who handpick their stationery supplies from Paris, Seoul, Rome, London, US and Australia. LOTS of lovely goodies.

I always wondered where you get these from, cute huh!

Stickers to complete a lovely parcel - you receive 50 stickers.

Mmm, Italian leather journals - you just know they smell really good. I have a little journal collection for my daughter (I may have mentioned once before) to present to her on a special birthday when she is older. Ramblings of her mother - my thoughts, family history, likes, dreams, reflections on motherhood etc...

Some lovely finds for this rainy day - it makes me want to snuggle on the couch and write a good old fashion letter! Truth is I have a pile of birthday cards to be written, cupcakes to make for a baby shower, orders to wrap, orders to make - children to cuddle (perhaps not in that order :) Have a fabulous weekend.

Friday Favourites - Sarah Paloma Pottery

I found these gorgeous wares on Etsy by the talented Sarah Paloma.

Nesting bowls are so lovely all snuggled together along with the divine votives below.

Sarah describes these as having "burnt brown edging" - which really make the votive so pretty... Have a fabulous weekend people. We are having some more birthday celebrations!

Friday Favourites - PiloSale on Etsy

Some lovely finds on Pilosale's etsy store. Yes the neutral tones got me... All items are handmade (of course) in Toronto, Canada in a coach house behind Heather's Victorian home... You get that sense just from looking at the photos - I can just imagine it!

Fabulous vintage nurse apron

Lovely bird mobile

Gorgeous sewing kit - a nice idea for a Christmas gift!

Divine Ceramics by Caroline Swift

I love a good story, especially regarding creative journey's and Caroline Swift's is a great one - such a varied career path she has had. Now residing in Spain, Caroline makes the most amazing ceramics.

If you have been following my blog for a while you will know I love WHITE and ceramics! These bone china bowls are unbelievably delicate and the top photo reminds me of coffee filters all stacked up!

I just want to run my hands over them - I wonder if they feel like soap stone? Have you ever felt soap stone? It is deliciously tactile (the polished stuff anyway).

Most of the dishes in my kitchen are white but none as beautiful as these... one day perhaps when I don't have small children I will invest in some lovely ceramics.

In the meantime enjoy these delightful images - I could stare at them all day.

Friday Favourites - Calligraphy stamps

Like letter writing and snail mail, calligraphy is almost a lost art - I am sure Gen Y would call it vintage for sure. But bringing it back are fabulous Etsy stores like emililies. I may have discovered emililies through Oh Hello Friend?

You can get self inked stamps (below) or the good old fashion rubber stamp! A lovely touch for the back of your Christmas mail, special letters and especially to accompany a gorgeous handmade item.

It's a long weekend in Canberra for family day or something?! Not 100% sure but I will take a long weekend with hubby around without batting an eyelid. Speaking of my gorgeous husband, he has accepted a new job in the private sector! We are looking forward to the change and him being closer to home - in Canberra that seems ridiculous because it is such a small 'city' but having one car and an unreliable, scant bus service can make commuting in this town a pain - especially since we have moved! Anyway - have a fabulous weekend!
