Future wear, available today

Here's the description for the jacket:
GHST RDR JACKET: highly tailored jacket with adjustable back straps.

Amazing collaboration between Zoetica Ebb and Plastik Wrap. Inspired by strict riding jackets of the Victorian era, Anime and the dark punk aesthetic. Made of a combination of quality suiting and soft knit, the jacket features 2 way front zipper, extra long sleeves finished with thumb holes, pleating waist details and structured shoulders. Adjustable back straps, make this jacket suitable for a variety of body types. GHST RDR summons visions of cyborg nuns, sexy assassins and art house aristocrats.

Kate Towers - Designer, Seamstress, Artist

Kate Towers describes herself as "self taught through experimentation"... her pieces are handmade and inspired by romance and nature.

Along with these amazing photos, Kate's creations excite me!! They make me want to whip out my sewing machine and just create something beautiful with luscious fabrics... We share a love of ruffles it seems.

One of the best things is you can buy her work on Etsy - wooooo! I say get in while you can. I love being inspired, don't you?! Cheers Kate!

Clothing instead of Art

I'm a big fan of this but haven't tried it yet! How lovely is this dress belonging to Ruby from Cakies! I have a killer pair of heels that I always blab on about mounting on the wall because they hurt to wear but look so darn good. I wore them 'in' for the first time whilst running an event once - stupid!

This is a very sweet idea too and practical. One of my midwives gave me a fabulous tip about hanging up all the baby clothes in sizes so your bub will have less chance of not wearing an outfit at least once. I give baby coat hangers quite frequently.

Mad Men Fashion

We have just started watching Mad Men and I am LOVING the 50-60's fashion! Rather difficult doing the housework in those frocks mind you but the costume designer, Janie Bryant has done the best job, gorgeous. I pay close attention to what they wear in their hair.

Stunning fabrics too don't you think? I do spend most of the time grimacing at the attitudes towards women back then, I would have been a feminist for sure - I have even yelled at the TV a few times. The sound track is cool too and it's worth the watch, so far, so good.

Any West Wing Fans recognize miss Zoey Bartlett (Elizabeth Moss) here?

My Polka Luka loot

Ohh I love my Polka Luka jewellery. My new pieces are the red Gum Drop resin necklace which is great to wear with kids - except Josiah loved bashing it against my chest :-) I was confident however that it wouldn't break. The white bracelet is also new, from the River Rock collection, available on the website. So smooth and comfy to wear.

Newspaper dress

How cute is this newspaper dress photographed by Nerita Louw! I would love to see the 'out-take' photo of landing in that dress and those heels - I hope nothing fell out!

Spring Fashion Week Paris 2011

Ohhhhhh, ahhhhhhhh - got to love those sequinned numbers by Elie Saab sashaying down the runway.

I love these two floaty numbers of his also - isn't that blue colour simply divine.

Images courtesy of PopSugar who I discovered via Maria's fabulous newsletter Build-a-buzz. I am definitely not a celebrity junkie (couldn't care less) but enjoy browsing the odd fashion site - especially runway!

Friday Favourites - Red Shoes

.... are my weakness! Loving these ballet flats by Elephant and Chickpea :-) Cute shop name too! I once had 1 hour for brunch and boots in Melbourne and I did both! I walked away with a pair of funky red boots from Brunswick St - very happy... credit card not-so-much but they are fab and have had a lot of wear.
