Your Milwaukee Apocalypse: Knowing Is Half The Battle

I've been reticent to speak until now, in hopes that this little problem was going to work itself out. As of today though, there are few signs of this catastrophe being avoided. The Milwaukee Brewers are going to make the playoffs. No, I do not jest. I am serious. Somehow the Brewers, the team of affable sausage races, beer slides, and sustained mediocrity are on track to win the NL Central. The Brewers have not had a winning season in 15 years, and only once have they ever even made the playoffs. So how do they now have one of the best records in the Majors? Free Agency? Maturation? Development? No, none of these can explain what is going on here. There is something much, much, darker at work. The evil powers that be that are blessing the Brew Crew have the country under a spell, believing that the Brewers are a feel good story. Far from it. The Brewers are a feel bad story. Feel very, very bad. And if the Astros and Cubs don't do something about it, the Brewers and their evil blessing from the gods of beer and debauchery are going to end our world as we know it when they make it to the playoffs. So Astros, Cubs, Cardinals, your task is clear: Win the Central, and save our world. May the force be with you.
